Alpha-Beta Arteether is an antimalarial medicine.
It effectively manages malaria by producing toxic free radicals within the malaria parasite that damage the parasite's cell membranes and disturb its crucial functions, killing the parasite. Specifically, it targets the parasite during the erythrocytic stage of its life cycle, when it is within red blood cells. By killing these, it stops the development of malaria.
