Uses of Azelnidipine

  • The primary use of Azelnidipine is to manage hypertension (high blood pressure). It belongs to the class of medicines known as dihydropyridine calcium channel blockers.

  • Apart from this principal use, it may also be used in secondary management for conditions like angina pectoris (chest pain due to heart problems) and for stroke prevention. Some doctors prescribe it to improve cardiovascular outcomes after a heart attack.
