Contraindications

• This medicine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the medication.
• It is also contraindicated in viral or fungal ocular infections.

Other Medications to Avoid

• This combination may interact with antihistamines (such as diphenhydramine and cetirizine), antidepressants (like duloxetine, fluoxetine, and sertraline), anti-convulsants (including pregabalin and topiramate), narcotic analgesics (such as morphine, methadone, and oxycodone), and anti-psychotics (like quetiapine).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of Benzalkonium Chloride + Loteprednol + Moxifloxacin may result in increased ocular adverse effects such as eye irritation and discomfort. Treatment is symptomatic and supportive.
• If you miss a dose, instil the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double dose to make up for the missed one.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless, resolving when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• If experiencing mild eye irritation or dryness, try blinking several times or using a sterile saline eye wash to help alleviate discomfort.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• This medication may temporarily cause blurred vision. Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until your vision has cleared and you feel it is safe to do so.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• The safety of Benzalkonium Chloride + Loteprednol + Moxifloxacin during pregnancy and lactation has not been established. Consult your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Patients with a history of prolonged use of other corticosteroids should exercise caution due to the potential risk of increased intraocular pressure which can lead to glaucoma.
• Monitoring for increased intraocular pressure is advised for individuals on prolonged therapy.

Special Dietary and Lifestyle Recommendations

• Maintain good eyelid hygiene to help manage symptoms of conditions like blepharitis that this medication addresses.
• Use a warm compress on the eyes daily to help loosen debris and oils accumulated on the eyelid margins.
• Avoid using eye makeup during the treatment period as it can interfere with healing.
• Ensure you regularly clean your hands before applying eye drops to prevent contamination.
