Contraindications

•  It is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to brimonidine or timolol.

Medications to Avoid with This Drug

• Avoid taking antihypertensives/cardiac glycosides (digoxin, quinidine), other beta-blockers, pain killers, antianxiety medications, antidiabetics, antidepressants (fluoxetine and paroxetine), antiallergics, other antiglaucoma medication, medicines that affect the muscles in your blood vessels, and heartburn or stomach ulcers medications. These medications may alter the safety and effectiveness of Brimonidine + Timolol.

Overdose and Missed Dose

•  Overdosage can cause dizziness, headache, shortness of breath, bradycardia, bronchospasm, and cardiac arrest. These symptoms need to be managed as an emergency in a hospital setting. Therefore, strict adherence to the prescribed dose is essential.
• You may apply the missed dose of this combination as soon as you remember and continue with your regular dosing schedule.

Use In Driving And Operating Machinery

• After using this combination, it's advisable to wait and assess individual tolerance, as these medications may cause temporary blurred vision or dizziness, potentially affecting the ability to drive safely. It's recommended to wait until vision clears before driving.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

•  It is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Caution in Other Conditions

•  Caution is advised in patients with active or history of bronchial asthma, severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, sinus bradycardia, atrioventricular heart block, cardiac failure, cardiogenic shock, poor blood circulation disease, low blood pressure, overactive thyroid gland, and diabetes.

Special Dietary & Lifestyle Recommendation

• Excessive caffeine can temporarily increase intraocular pressure, so moderate your coffee and tea consumption.
• If using contact lenses, insert them at least 15 minutes after applying the eye drops to avoid any potential interactions.
• Protect your eyes from UV rays by wearing sunglasses with UVA and UVB protection outdoors. Sun exposure can contribute to eye damage.
• Visit your eye doctor for regular check-ups. Early detection and monitoring of glaucoma are crucial for managing the condition.
