Age and Dose Restrictions

• This combination medicine is suitable for adults and children over the age of 12 years.

Contraindications

• This medicine should not be used by individuals who have severe high blood pressure, or coronary artery disease or have taken an MAO inhibitor within the last 14 days. Additionally, those with known allergies to any of the active ingredients contained within – acetaminophen, chlorpheniramine, phenylephrine or caffeine – should also avoid this combination.

Other Medications to Avoid

• The Caffeine + Chlorpheniramine Maleate + Paracetamol/Acetaminophen + Phenylephrine combination may interact with MAO inhibitors (such as selegiline and phenelzine), blood thinners (like warfarin, heparin), tricyclic antidepressants (including amitriptyline and nortriptyline), and beta-blockers (such as atenolol and propranolol).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• Overdose of this medication may lead to severe liver damage due to the acetaminophen component. If an overdose is suspected, immediately seek medical help.

• In case a dose is missed, it should be taken as soon as remembered. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose to prevent doubling up.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects of this medicine are transient and may go away once the medication is discontinued. If you experience severe side effects or worsening of any symptoms, it is advised to consult your doctor.

• For mild increases in blood pressure, try relaxing and reducing stress.

• For dry mouth, nose, or throat, stay well hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• This medicine may cause drowsiness and dizziness. As such, driving or operating heavy machinery should be avoided unless you are sure how this medicine affects you.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Extra care should be taken for patients with pre-existing conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, glaucoma, or an overactive thyroid. Consult your doctor before starting this medication if you have any such conditions.
