Uses of Diazepam

  • Diazepam is primarily used for managing anxiety disorders and for providing short-term relief from symptoms of anxiety. It falls under the therapeutic class of benzodiazepines.

  • It is also used in the management of acute alcohol withdrawal symptoms, relief of skeletal muscle spasms, control of convulsive disorders, and providing preoperative sedation.
