Dicyclomine + Nimesulide is a combination medication with antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory properties.
Dicyclomine is an anticholinergic agent. It functions by blocking the action of a neurotransmitter called acetylcholine in areas like smooth muscle and secretory glands. This results in relaxation of smooth muscles, particularly in the digestive system, thus helping to ease spasms and cramps.
Nimesulide is a Nonsteroidal Anti-inflammatory Drug (NSAID), specifically selective COX-2 inhibitor. Through inhibiting the COX-2 enzyme, it hinders the production of prostaglandins, substances contributing to inflammation and pain. This leads to its anti-inflammatory, analgesic and fever-reducing effects.
