• Domperidone + Lafutidine is available for oral administration in two forms: tablet and capsule.

Age and Dose Restrictions

Contraindications

• This medicine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Domperidone or Lafutidine.

• It is also contraindicated in patients with prolactinoma, pituitary tumours, gastrointestinal perforation or obstruction, and moderate to severe liver impairment.

Other Medications to Avoid

• Domperidone + Lafutidine may interact with antacids and proton pump inhibitors (such as omeprazole and lansoprazole), strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (like ketoconazole, itraconazole), QT-prolonging medicines (such as quinidine, amiodarone), anticholinergic medicines (like hyoscine, atropine) and cardiac glycosides (like digoxin).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of Domperidone + Lafutidine may lead to symptoms such as confusion, disorientation and difficulty in walking and speaking. If you suspect an overdose, consult your doctor immediately.

• If you forget to take a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it’s almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next one at the regular time. Do not double the dose.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• Staying hydrated can help manage side effects like dry mouth and constipation.

• Taking this medicine with food can help reduce side effects such as abdominal pain and diarrhoea.

• Rest techniques can help manage side effects like headaches and dizziness.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• Domperidone + Lafutidine may cause dizziness or drowsiness. If you experience these symptoms, avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until you feel alert again.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• Consult your doctor before using Domperidone + Lafutidine during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Patients with kidney disease or liver impairment should exercise caution when taking Domperidone + Lafutidine. Regular monitoring of kidney function and liver function may be required during treatment with this medicine.
