• This combination is meant for use in adults and adolescents above 18 years of age.

Contraindications

• Duloxetine + Methylcobalamin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to either duloxetine or methylcobalamin. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe liver disease, end-stage kidney disease, and uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma.

Other Medications to Avoid

• Duloxetine + Methylcobalamin may interact with other SSRIs (like paroxetine and fluoxetine), TCAs (like desipramine and amitriptyline), monoamine oxidase inhibitors (like phenelzine and tranylcypromine), anticoagulants (like warfarin and heparin), NSAIDs (like ibuprofen and naproxen), antiplatelets (including aspirin and clopidogrel), benzodiazepines (such as diazepam and lorazepam), and herbal supplements (like St. John's Wort).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of Duloxetine + Methylcobalamin can cause symptoms like restlessness, tremors, overactive reflexes, rapid breathing, confusion, hallucinations, panic attacks, aggressiveness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, loss of coordination, and a rapid heartbeat. If such symptoms are observed, one should immediately consult a doctor.
• If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is already time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take two doses at once to make up for a missed one.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• Drinking plenty of water can help manage some of the gastrointestinal side effects like constipation.

• Patients with a history of mania, seizures, or bleeding disorders should exercise caution when taking Duloxetine + Methylcobalamin.
• Patients with diabetes should also exercise caution while taking this combination.
