Etodolac belongs to a group of medicines known as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicines (NSAIDs). It works by blocking the action of a substance in the body called cyclooxygenase. Cyclooxygenase is involved in producing prostaglandins, which cause pain and inflammation at the site of injury or damage. By blocking its action, Etodolac reduces these symptoms.
Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant. It operates in the central nervous system as a GABAA receptor antagonist and glycine receptor antagonist. These receptors are involved in transmitting signals in the body that cause muscle spasms. By blocking their action, Thiocolchicoside helps to relieve muscle spasms and tension.
