Uses of Ibuprofen

  • Ibuprofen is commonly used to reduce fever and treat pain and inflammation from conditions like arthritis, menstrual cramps, headaches, muscle pain, back pain, and tooth pain.

How Ibuprofen works

  • If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. But, if the next dose is near, skip the missed dose and resume the regular dosing regime.

Use In Pregnancy And Lactation

  • This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy, specifically during the third trimester. Caution is advised in breastfeeding women.

  • Caution is advised in older adults and patients with gastro-intestinal disorders, with a history of gastro ulceration, pre-existing asthma, hypertension, heart conditions, and kidney and liver impairment.

  • Perform gentle stretches to improve flexibility and prevent muscle stiffness. Avoid overstretching, especially if you have an injury.
  • You may apply a warm compress or ice pack to affected areas for relief from muscle pain.
  • Choose comfortable, supportive shoes to minimise the impact on joints and muscles.
