• Ibuprofen can be taken orally (tablet and suspension).

Age And Dose Restrictions 

• It can be used in adults and children above 6 months.

Contraindications 

• It is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Ibuprofen. It is also contraindicated before coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery.

Other Medications To Avoid With This Medicine

• Avoid taking diuretics, anticoagulants (warfarin), immunosuppressive medications (methotrexate), antihypertensives, and other NSAIDs (aspirin). These medications may alter the safety and effectiveness of Ibuprofen.

Overdose And Missed Dose

• Overdose can cause abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, lethargy and drowsiness. These symptoms need to be managed as an emergency in a hospital setting. Therefore, strict adherence to the prescribed dose is essential.
• If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. But, if the next dose is near, skip the missed dose and resume the regular dosing regime.

• Take this medicine with food to reduce gastrointestinal side effects and continue taking it as prescribed. If side effects worsen or persist, consult your doctor for a possible treatment plan adjustment.

Use In Pregnancy And Lactation

• Caution is advised in older adults and patients with gastro-intestinal disorders, with a history of gastro ulceration, pre-existing asthma, hypertension, heart conditions, and kidney and liver impairment.
