Contraindications

• The medication is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to Lactitol monohydrate or any of its components and in patients with galactosemia, acute inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease), gastrointestinal obstruction or subocclusive syndromes, or digestive perforation.

Other Medications To Avoid With This Medicine

• Lactitol monohydrate might heighten potassium loss triggered by certain medications like thiazides, steroids, and amphotericin B. If taken alongside cardiac glycosides, it could amplify their effects due to potassium deficiency.

Overdose and Missed Dose

• An overdose of this medication may cause symptoms like diarrhoea and abdominal pain. If you observe these symptoms, inform your doctor and follow the advice accordingly.
• If you forget to take this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. But avoid repeating the dose.
