Uses of Parnaparin

How Parnaparin works
Parnaparin is an anticoagulant, a specific type of low molecular weight heparin (LMWH). It works by boosting the activity of a natural body substance called antithrombin III. This substance is an anticoagulant that helps to halt the clotting process. When Parnaparin binds to antithrombin III, it increases its ability to inactivate several blood clotting factors, primarily factor Xa and, to a lesser extent, factor IIa (thrombin). By stopping these clotting factors, Parnaparin efficiently manages the formation and growth of blood clots. This mechanism is crucial in preventing and managing conditions like Deep Vein Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolism.
