Age and Dose Restrictions

• This medicine is indicated for adults and adolescents aged 13 years and above.

Contraindications

• Quetiapine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Quetiapine or any of the excipients found in its formulation.
• Additionally, it is contraindicated in patients diagnosed with dementia-related psychosis due to an increased risk of mortality.

Other Medications to Avoid

• Quetiapine can interact with antifungal medications (such as ketoconazole, itraconazole, and fluconazole), antibiotics (like erythromycin), and protease inhibitors which are used in the treatment of HIV infection.
• It is also important to note that the efficacy of Quetiapine can be decreased with the concurrent use of medications like phenytoin, carbamazepine, and rifampin.

Overdose and Missed Dose
