• Tadalafil can be taken orally (tablet).

Age and Dose Restrictions

•  It is not intended for use by women and children. 

Contraindications

• It is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Tadalafil. It is also contraindicated in patients with certain cardiovascular conditions, when sexual activity is not advised, and patients having non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy & pulmonary hypertension. 

Other Medications To Avoid With This Medicine

• Avoid taking medications for angina (nitrates), antibiotics (erythromycin), anticonvulsants (phenytoin), antifungals (ketoconazole) and medications for pulmonary hypertension (riociguat). These medications may alter the safety and effectiveness of Tadalafil.

Overdose and Missed Dose

• Overdose of Tadalafil is capable of vision loss, changes in vision colour, blurred vision, ringing in ears, an erection that lasts longer. These symptoms need to be managed as an emergency in a hospital setting. Therefore, strict adherence to the prescribed dose is essential.
• If you miss a dose of Tadalafil, take it as soon as you remember. But, if the next dose is near, skip the missed dose and resume the regular dosing regime.

Use In Driving And Operating Machinery

• It can lead to dizziness. Hence, it's advisable to operate vehicles or machinery only when fully alert.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• Tadalafil is not recommended in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Caution In Other Conditions

• Caution is advised in sickle cell anemia, severe liver and kidney problems, multiple myeloma, leukemia and deformation of the penis.

Special Dietary & Lifestyle Recommendation

• Alcohol consumption should be avoided while taking Tadalafil as it may worsen the side effects.
• Tadalafil may be taken with or without food.
