Tonoferon Syrup 200ml

Tonoferon Syrup is used for the following:

• Managing anaemia caused by vitamin B12 deficiency

• Handling anaemia resulting from folic acid deficiency

• Addressing anaemia due to iron deficiency

• Catering to increased nutritional requirements in pregnant women

• Supporting recovery after illness or surgery with nutritional supplementation

• Assisting individuals who have difficulty swallowing tablets or capsules

Administer Tonoferon Syrup to your child as follows:

• Shake the bottle well before use to ensure uniform distribution of the ingredients.

• Measure the required dose using a calibrated dosing cup or syringe for accuracy.

• You can give the syrup directly or mix it with water, fruit juice, or other beverages.

• This medicine is sugar-based and needs caution for use in diabetic children. If your child has diabetes, consult your doctor before giving them this medicine.

• Always follow the doctor's advice regarding the duration and frequency of administration.

Tonoferon Syrup is given orally.

Tonoferon Syrup contains three active ingredients that work together to support red blood cell formation:

• Colloidal Iron (250 MG): This mineral component is an integral part of haemoglobin - the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen throughout the body. By supplementing iron levels in the body, it helps manage iron deficiency, a common cause of anaemia.

• Folic Acid (500 MCG): Also known as vitamin B9, folic acid plays a vital role in the synthesis of DNA and RNA, crucial for cell division and growth. In conjunction with vitamin B12, it aids in producing healthy red blood cells and preventing anaemia.

• Vitamin B12 (5 MCG): An essential vitamin that plays a key role in forming red blood cells, synthesising DNA, and maintaining proper nervous system function. It works closely with folic acid to support healthy red blood cell production.

By supplementing these nutrients, Tonoferon Syrup effectively manages deficiencies and helps in the formation and function of red blood cells.

• Store Tonoferon Syrup at a cool room temperature, ideally between 20°C to 25°C.

• To help manage your child's iron deficiency, include iron-rich foods in their diet. Leafy green vegetables, lentils, and fortified cereals are good choices.
