Ark Gel is used for the following:

• Alleviating pain from localised soft tissue rheumatism including conditions like tendinitis, bursitis, and shoulder-hand syndrome.

• Reducing discomfort from osteoarthritis in peripheral joints and the vertebral column.

• Assisting in managing localised post-traumatic and post-operative inflammation, swelling and pain, especially from sprains, strains, and bruising.

• Providing relief from myalgia or muscle pain.

Using Ark Gel properly is crucial for optimal results. Follow these instructions:

• Ensure the affected skin area is clean and dry before application.

• Apply a thin layer of the gel to the painful area using your fingertips.

• Gently massage the gel into the skin until fully absorbed.

• The gel should be applied as per your doctor's advice.

• Following application, wash your hands immediately unless they are the site being treated.

• Always consult your doctor for specific advice on usage.

Ark Gel is applied topically.

Ark Gel contains four active ingredients:

• Diclofenac Diethylamine (1.16%): This is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine (NSAID) that inhibits enzymes involved in prostaglandin synthesis, which are responsible for causing pain and inflammation.

• Capsaicin (0.025%): This is a neuropeptide releasing agent. It first stimulates then desensitises and depletes substance P - a chemical involved in transmitting pain impulses to the brain - making you less sensitive to pain stimuli.

• Methyl Salicylate (5%): This is a salicylate analgesic chemically related to aspirin. It inhibits prostaglandins responsible for causing pain and inflammation. Methyl salicylate also causes dilation of the capillaries and an increase in blood flow locally.

• Menthol (5%): Known as a counter-irritant, stimulates and then desensitises the cold receptors in the skin. This creates a cooling sensation followed by an analgesic effect.

• Store Ark Gel in a cool, dry area at room temperature below 25°C.

• Shield the tube from direct sunlight.

• Keep the lid tightly closed when not in use.

• Always remember to place Ark Gel out of reach of children.

• Regular exercise can help manage osteoarthritis and rheumatism. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity activity, such as brisk walking, most days of the week.

• Maintain a balanced diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids found in fish and flaxseeds, which can help reduce inflammation associated with arthritis and soft tissue rheumatism.
