Biocetamol-DS Oral Suspension is used for the following:

• Managing mild to moderate pain conditions like headaches and toothaches.

• Relief from discomfort caused by sore throat, and muscle aches.

• Addressing general body aches and pains.

• Reducing high body temperature associated with common illnesses such as colds and flu in children above 1 year old.

Here's how you should give Biocetamol-DS Oral Suspension to your child:

• Always shake the bottle well before use.

• Measure the exact amount as recommended by your doctor using the spoon or cup provided.

• You can mix it with a small quantity of your child’s favourite juice or milk to make it more palatable, if needed.

• You can give your child this medicine with or without food.

• This medicine is sugar-based and needs caution for use in diabetic patients. If your child has diabetes, consult your doctor before giving this medicine.

Biocetamol-DS Oral suspension is given orally.

Biocetamol-DS Oral Suspension contains paracetamol (250 mg), which acts on the body in two main ways:

• Prostaglandin Synthesis Inhibition: Paracetamol works by reducing the production of certain chemicals in the brain and spine, called prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are responsible for promoting inflammation, pain, and fever. So, by inhibiting their synthesis, paracetamol helps in relieving pain.

• Fever Reduction: Paracetamol also acts on a part of the brain called the hypothalamus, which controls body temperature. By affecting this area, it aids in lowering high body temperatures during fever.

• Keep Biocetamol-DS Syrup at room temperature, ideally between 15°-30°C.

• Store the bottle in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Make sure the lid is tightly closed when not in use.

• Discard any remaining syrup one month after opening the bottle.

• Always keep it out of reach of children

• Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids when they have a fever or are in pain, as this can help reduce body temperature and promote comfort.

• For children who have a sore throat, offer cool or warm liquids and soft foods that are easy to swallow, such as mashed potatoes or soup.
