Calgel Capsule is used for the following:

• Managing and improving bone mineral density in osteoporosis patients

• Rectifying softening and weakening of bones due to vitamin D deficiency in adults (osteomalacia)

• Correcting softening and weakening of bones due to vitamin D deficiency in children (rickets)

• Balancing low blood calcium levels associated with decreased activity of the parathyroid gland (hypoparathyroidism)

• Treating bone disorders and calcium/phosphorus imbalances in patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing long-term dialysis

Here's how you should take Calgel Capsule:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Take the capsule at the same time each day to help you remember it.

• Do not chew or crush the capsule.
