Colicaid Syrup is used for managing the following conditions in your child:

• Relief from flatulence or excessive gas

• Management of infantile colic, a condition characterised by bouts of excessive, often inconsolable crying

Before you give Colicaid Syrup to your child, here are some simple steps to follow:

• Shake the bottle well before each use.

• Measure the prescribed dose using the provided dropper or oral syringe.

• You can administer it directly into your child's mouth or mix it with water, milk, or fruit juice.

• Dispense the medicine after meals or at bedtime for optimal relief.

• Replace cap tightly immediately after each use.

• This medicine is sugar-based and needs caution for use in diabetic children. If your child has diabetes, consult your doctor before giving this medicine.

Colicaid Syrup has a unique blend of three active ingredients that work together:

• Simethicone (40 mg): This anti-foaming agent alters the surface tension of gas bubbles in the gut, causing smaller bubbles to merge into larger ones that are easier to eliminate either through belching or passing flatus. While simethicone does not reduce gas formation, it facilitates its expulsion.

• Dill Oil (0.025 ml): This essential oil extracted from the seeds of Anethum graveolens has several properties such as carminative, antispasmodic and antimicrobial. Its primary function is to relax the smooth muscles of the digestive tract, helping in expelling gas and preventing further gas formation.

• Fennel Oil (0.0035 ml): Derived from fennel seeds, this essential oil acts as a carminative by relaxing gut muscles. This helps in expelling trapped gas and reducing bloating. Fennel oil also exhibits antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects.

• Store Colicaid Syrup in a cool, dry place below 25°C.

• Keep the medicine away from direct sunlight, and do not refrigerate.

• Ensure the bottle is tightly closed after each use.

• Always store this medicine out of the reach of children.

• Discard any unused syrup 14 days after opening.
