Colicate Oral Drops 30ml

Colicate Drops are used for the following:

• Managing infant colic pain

• Reducing flatulence in infants and young children

• Easing gripping pain in children

• Alleviating bloating discomfort

Give your child Colicate Drops as follows:

• Use the provided dropper to measure the correct dose of the drops.

• You can mix the drops with a small amount of water, breast milk, or formula for ease of giving.

• Give the medicine about 30 minutes before feeding for optimum results.

• Keep the bottle well-capped after use.

• This medicine is sugar-based and needs caution for use in diabetic patients. If your child has diabetes, consult your doctor before giving this medicine.

Colicate Drops are given orally.

Colicate Drops comprise three active ingredients:

• Simethicone (40 mg): An antifoaming agent, simethicone works by modifying the surface tension of gas bubbles in the gut. It causes smaller gas bubbles to combine into larger ones, making it easier for them to be expelled through belching or passing wind. Notably, simethicone doesn't get absorbed into the bloodstream and acts exclusively within the gastrointestinal tract.

• Dill Oil (0.005 ml): This essential oil extracted from dill seeds and leaves exhibits antispasmodic properties, which help relax the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract, thereby reducing abdominal cramps and discomfort. It also has a carminative effect, which aids in expelling gas from the digestive system and alleviating bloating and flatulence.

• Fennel Oil (0.0007 ml): Derived from fennel seeds, this oil also possesses antispasmodic and carminative properties similar to dill oil. It further contributes to relaxing gut muscles, reducing spasms and cramps, and promoting the expulsion of gas from the intestines. Additionally, it has mild anti-inflammatory effects that can soothe the digestive tract.

• Keep Colicate Drops in a cool, dry place.

• Store the product away from direct sunlight and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.

• Always ensure the storage area is out of reach of children for safety reasons.

• Since Colicate Drops are used to manage bloating and flatulence in children, it might be helpful to reduce your child's intake of gas-producing foods like beans, broccoli, onions, and carbonated drinks.
