Debridace Ointment 15gm

Debridace Ointment is used for the following:

• Helping heal ulcers by removing dead and infected tissue.
• Aiding in the management of burns by promoting healthy tissue growth.
• Assisting in healing bed sores through the removal of necrotic debris.
• Contributing to the treatment of surgical wounds by clearing out dead material.
• Supporting the healing process of cysts by stimulating healthy tissue growth.
• Facilitating the recovery from carbuncles through enzymatic debridement.

Use Debridace Ointment as suggested below:

• Make sure that the wound and surrounding skin are clean and dry before application.
• Apply a thin layer of the ointment to cover the wound, using your fingertip or a clean cotton swab.
• Depending on the wound condition, you may need to apply this medicine once or twice daily, or as needed.
• After applying, you can cover with a sterile dressing if required.
• Remember to wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying the ointment.
• For specific advice on how often and how much ointment to apply, consult your doctor.

Debridace Ointment is applied topically.

Debridace Ointment contains two active ingredients:

• Papain (521700 IU): This proteolytic enzyme extracted from papaya fruit selectively breaks down damaged and dead tissue while leaving healthy tissue intact. It works by cleaving peptide bonds in necrotic (dead) tissue, liquefying it and thus making it easier to remove.
• Urea (100 MG): As a keratolytic agent, urea softens and hydrates the skin. It helps papain penetrate into the necrotic tissue and enhances its proteolytic activity. Besides facilitating papain's action, urea has a mild debridement action of its own by dissolving the intercellular matrix of dead cells.

• Store Debridace Ointment at room temperature, not exceeding 30°C.
• Pick a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and dampness.
• Keep the ointment tube tightly capped when not in use to prevent exposure to air.
• Always keep Debridace Ointment out of reach of children.

• If you have a wound, maintain a balanced diet rich in proteins, vitamins C and A to support healing. Foods like lean meats, dairy, citrus fruits, and leafy greens can help.
• Avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption as they can slow down wound healing. Consult your doctor for assistance in quitting if needed.
