• Absence seizures, characterised by a brief loss of consciousness

• Simple and complex partial seizures

• Bipolar disorder, a condition with extreme mood swings

• Prevention of migraine headaches

Here's how to take Encorate Chrono 300 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with water.

• Avoid breaking, chewing or crushing the tablet.

• Always take this medicine during or after meals as directed by your doctor.

• Continue taking this medicine regularly even if your symptoms improve, unless advised otherwise by your doctor.

Encorate Chrono 300 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Sodium valproate (200 mg): This ingredient increases the levels of a neurotransmitter called gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in your brain. Neurotransmitters are chemicals that send signals between nerve cells, and GABA helps to reduce excessive activity of these nerve cells which can contribute to seizures.

• Valproic acid (87 mg): This component works similarly to sodium valproate, enhancing the activity of GABA in your brain and helping to stabilise electrical activity. This means it reduces the chances of a seizure occurring by calming down overactive nerve cells.

• Keep the Encorate Chrono 300 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.
