Gelusil MPS Tablet is used for the following:

• Relief from symptoms of heartburn

• Management of indigestion issues

• Neutralising excessive stomach acid

• Alleviating discomfort from acid reflux

• Reduction of flatulence and bloating

• Providing a protective barrier against stomach acid irritation

While taking Gelusil MPS Tablet, follow these instructions:

• Chew the tablet thoroughly before swallowing.

• Continuous use beyond 2 weeks requires doctor's supervision.

Gelusil MPS Tablet contains four active ingredients that work together to provide relief from gastric discomfort:

• Aluminium Hydroxide (250mg): Neutralises excess stomach acid by reacting directly with it. This raises the pH level in your stomach, reducing acidity. It also absorbs pepsin, an enzyme involved in digestion, thereby decreasing heartburn and upper abdominal pain.

• Dimethicone (50mg): Acts as an anti-foaming agent that disperses and prevents gas bubbles in your gut. Its low surface tension allows it to penetrate foam bubbles trapped in the mucus lining of your digestive tract and collapse them, relieving bloating and abdominal discomfort.

• Magnesium Aluminium Silicate Hydrate (50mg): Functions as both an antacid and a protective demulcent. Like aluminium hydroxide, it neutralises stomach acid and forms a protective layer on the mucus membranes of your digestive tract.

• Magnesium Hydroxide (250mg): Known as milk of magnesia, this strong base rapidly neutralises stomach acid by reacting with it to form magnesium chloride and water. This increases the pH of stomach contents, reducing acidity. At higher doses, it also acts as a laxative by drawing water into the intestines.

• Keep Gelusil MPS Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 15° and 30°C.
