Gelusil Mps Xtra Cool Mint Flavour Liquid 200ml

Gelusil MPS Xtra Cool Mint Flavour Liquid is used for relieving symptoms associated with heartburn, acidity and gas. It has a proportionate amount of magnesium hydroxide, dimethicone and aluminium hydroxide. An antacid called aluminium hydroxide helps combat increased stomach acid. Magnesium hydroxide is a laxative that lowers stomach acid and improves intestinal water content. It has no added sugar and is usually well-tolerated.

• Activated Dimethicone I.P.: Dimethicone, a compound that reduces foaming, alleviates bloating and stomach discomfort. It breaks up gas bubbles and makes gas pass easily.
   
• Magnesium Hydroxide I.P. (added as Magnesium Hydroxide paste): Magnesium acts as an osmotic laxative by drawing water into the intestines. This rise in water content increases motility or bowel movement. Additionally, it makes the stool softer and bigger. This induces defecation and facilitates the passage of faeces.
   
• Dried Aluminium Hydroxide (added as Aluminium Hydroxide paste): The stomach enzyme pepsin which breaks down protein in food and balances stomach acid, is inhibited by aluminium hydroxide which increases the pH of the stomach and makes it more alkaline.
   
• Other Ingredients: Sorbitol Solution (70%) I.P. (non-crystallising)
