Nodosis GST Tablet is used for the following:

• Relief from indigestion

• Management of Heartburn and Acid Reflux

• Balancing pH in Metabolic Acidosis

• Soothing of Sour or Upset Stomach

When using Nodosis GST Tablet, follow these instructions:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• It can be taken with or without food, but avoid taking it on an overly full stomach.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• If symptoms persist beyond 2 weeks of self-treatment, consult your doctor.

Nodosis GST Tablet is taken orally.

Nodosis GST Tablet contains sodium bicarbonate (500 mg), which acts on the body as follows:

• Acid Neutralisation: Sodium bicarbonate reacts with stomach acid (hydrochloric acid) forming salt, water, and carbon dioxide. This reaction neutralises the acid and increases pH of the stomach contents, providing relief from indigestion, heartburn, and upset stomach.

• Alkalinising Action: As an alkalinising agent, sodium bicarbonate dissociates to provide bicarbonate ions which enter the bloodstream. This action helps increase blood pH and reverses metabolic acidosis. The additional bicarbonate is also excreted in urine, leading to higher urine pH.

• Store Nodosis GST Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep it shielded from direct light and moisture to maintain its efficacy.

• Place the medicine in a secure location, out of reach from children and pets.

• Always remember to check the expiry date and discard any unused tablets after this date.

• Since Nodosis GST Tablet contains sodium bicarbonate, if you're managing heartburn or acid reflux, consider reducing your intake of spicy and fatty foods. Such foods can aggravate these conditions.

• If you're taking this medicine due to metabolic acidosis linked with kidney failure, maintaining adequate hydration is important. Drinking plenty of fluids can support kidney function and aid in maintaining the body's pH balance.
