Pegovag Sachet 137.90 GM is used for cleansing the bowel before medical procedures like colonoscopy, colorectal surgery and barium meal X-ray examinations. It combines Polyethylene Glycol 4000 IP and electrolytes like Sodium Chloride, Potassium Chloride, Sodium Bicarbonate and Anhydrous Sodium Sulphate to support the body in flushing out waste and toxins effectively. This ensures the bowel is thoroughly cleared, promoting smooth bowel movements and maintaining electrolyte balance during the cleansing process. Pegovag helps prepare the digestive system for procedures, supporting both hydration and comfort throughout.

• Polyethylene Glycol: Polyethylene glycol 4000 is an osmotic laxative, meaning it works by drawing water into the colon from surrounding tissues, softening the stool and making it easier to pass. It increases the water content in the stool, which helps to relieve constipation and facilitates bowel movements.
   
• Sodium Chloride: Sodium chloride, commonly known as salt, helps regulate the osmotic balance of the solution. It supports proper fluid balance in the body and helps maintain electrolyte levels, which is important for hydration and cellular function.
   
• Potassium Chloride: Potassium chloride is a crucial mineral that helps maintain fluid balance, proper muscle function and nerve transmission. • Empty one sachet of Pegovag into 1L of clean drinking water and stir well to dissolve.
• Add another 1L of water to make a total of 2L of solution.
• Pour the solution into a glass and drink 200ml every 10-15 minutes, consuming 1L within 1 hour.
• The first bowel movement may occur within 1 hour of starting the solution.
• Continue drinking the solution until stools are watery, colourless, or yellow, as directed.
