Relyte Powder 4.2GM Pack of 5 Sachets is used for managing dehydration. The solution (ORS) is designed to manage symptoms like diarrhoea, vomiting, and other conditions that lead to fluid loss. This powder contains essential electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, and chloride, which help restore the body's fluid balance and maintain proper hydration. The pack includes five individual 4.2-gram sachets, each providing a measured dose of the rehydrating solution. Simply dissolve the powder in water to create a solution that can be consumed to replenish lost fluids and electrolytes. Relyte is particularly beneficial for both adults and children who are experiencing dehydration due to illness, excessive sweating, or physical exertion. 

• Dextrose: A simple sugar that provides instant energy to the body, dextrose helps improve hydration by promoting the absorption of electrolytes and water in the intestines, making it essential in oral rehydration solutions.

• Sodium Citrate: A salt derived from citric acid, sodium citrate helps regulate the body’s pH levels, reduces acidity, and manages metabolic acidosis, which can occur due to severe dehydration.

• Pour the contents of the sachet into a glass (200 ml) of previously boiled and cooled water.
• Stir till dissolved. Discard any unused solution after 24 Hours of preparation.
• Adults: 2 to 3 litres (10 to 15 sachets of Relyte) dail. If the condition warrants, up to 800 ml (4 sachets of Relyte) per hour may be given till rehydration ( Usually three to four hours).
• Children and Infants: A dose of 75 ml per kg body weight to be given over 6 hours. Alternatively, 50 ml to 200 ml after each loose stool, based on the severity of dehydration.

• Read the label carefully before use.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose.
• Keep out of the reach of children.
• Store in a cool, dry place, below 30 degrees C,
• Keep away from direct sunlight.
• Not for injection.

Precaution: 

• Use with caution in patients with impaired renal function, hypertension and cardiac failure.
• Continuous or severe fluid or electrolyte losses may need appropriate parenteral supplementation.
