Sobisis Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing indigestion, also known as dyspepsia

• Alleviating heartburn

• Controlling acid reflux

• Settling an upset stomach

• Correcting metabolic acidosis, a condition where there is too much acid in your body

• Managing diabetic ketoacidosis, a serious diabetes complication

• Reducing high levels of potassium in your blood, known as hyperkalemia

• Alkalinising urine, making it less acidic

• Reviving the heart during a cardiac arrest, also known as asystole

Here's how you should take Sobisis Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Try not to crush or chew the tablet.

• The best time to take this medicine is 1 to 2 hours after meals.

• Always follow your doctor's advice on how often to take this medicine. It's important not to exceed this.

Sobisis Tablet is taken orally.

Sobisis Tablet contains sodium bicarbonate (500 mg), which works on your body in the following ways:

• Acid Neutraliser: When ingested, sodium bicarbonate reacts with the hydrochloric acid present in your stomach. This reaction forms substances like sodium chloride, water, and carbon dioxide, which help neutralise excess stomach acid.

• Increasing Bicarbonate Ions: Sodium bicarbonate increases the concentration of bicarbonate ions in the bloodstream. This helps manage metabolic acidosis, a condition in which there is too much acid in the body fluids.

• Alkalinising Agent: Sodium bicarbonate also alkalises your urine by increasing the concentration of bicarbonate ions there. This is particularly helpful in certain medical situations where the urine needs to be less acidic.

• Store Sobisis Tablet at room temperature, not exceeding 30 degrees Celsius.

• Keep the medicine away from direct light and moisture.

• Always make sure this medication is out of reach of children.

• Use Sobisis Tablet before the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• If you are using Sobisis Tablet for acid reflux or heartburn, try avoiding spicy, fatty, and acidic foods, as these can aggravate your condition.

• Regular moderate exercise can help manage metabolic acidosis. However, always ensure you hydrate well when engaging in physical activities.
