Sompraz D 40 Capsule is used in below mentioned conditions:

• Symptomatic treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD): This capsule is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of GERD.
• Peptic ulcer disease: Sompraz D 40 Capsule is also used to treat peptic ulcer disease, a condition in which open sores develop in the stomach lining or the small intestine's first part.
• Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: Nexpro RD capsule may also be used to treat Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, a rare condition where the stomach produces excessive acid.
• Refractory GERD: GERD that doesn't respond to esomeprazole medicine alone.

• Follow your doctor's instructions for dosage and duration.
• Take Sompraz D 40 Capsule at least one hour before meals.
• Avoid- foods that increase acidity, lying down immediately after eating.
• Have your last meal at least two hours before bedtime.
• Inform your doctor about all medications you are taking, as some may interact with Sompraz D 40 Capsule.
• Store capsules below 25°C in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture, and heat.
• Dispose of expired or unused capsules properly. Do not flush them down the toilet or throw them into the drain.

Sompraz D 40 Capsule is taken orally, which means it is swallowed with water.

Sompraz D 40 Capsule contains two active ingredients: esomeprazole and domperidone.

• Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that inhibits the enzyme responsible for acid production in the stomach, thereby reducing the amount of acid that flows into the food pipe.
• Domperidone helps increase stomach and intestinal movement, which helps prevent acid reflux.

• Store Sompraz D 40 Capsule at room temperature.
• Keep it protected from light and moisture.
• Ensure that the product is kept out of reach of children.
• Use the medicine before its expiry date.
