Swich CV-100 Dry Syrup is used for managing the following conditions in children:

• Acute ear infections caused by various bacteria

• Throat and tonsil infections due to Streptococcus pyogenes

• Community-acquired pneumonia from Streptococcus pneumoniae or Haemophilus influenzae

• Worsening of chronic bronchitis from specific bacterial strains

• Simple skin and skin structure infections by Staphylococcus aureus or Streptococcus pyogenes

• Uncomplicated urinary tract infections caused by specific bacteria

Here's how to give your child Swich CV-100 Dry Syrup:

• Shake the bottle well before use.

• Use the provided measuring cup to measure the correct dose.

• Give exactly as recommended by your child's doctor.

• Store the reconstituted suspension at room temperature for up to 14 days.

• If your child has diabetes, consult your doctor before giving them this medicine, as it is sugar-based.

Swich CV-100 Dry Syrup is given orally.

Swich CV-100 Dry Syrup contains two active ingredients:

• Cefpodoxime Proxetil (100 mg): This is an antibiotic belonging to the third-generation cephalosporin class. It works by disrupting the formation of the bacterial cell wall—an essential structure for bacteria survival. The result is the death of the bacteria, aiding in controlling the infection.

• Clavulanic Acid (62.5 mg): This ingredient doesn't work against bacteria directly. Instead, it helps cefpodoxime do its job better. Some bacteria produce enzymes called β-lactamases that can destroy antibiotics like cefpodoxime. Clavulanic acid prevents these enzymes from working, thus ensuring cefpodoxime remains effective in killing bacteria.

• Store the dry powder of Swich CV-100 Dry Syrup at room temperature, not exceeding 25°C.

• Keep it in a tightly closed container to protect it from light and moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Use the reconstituted medicine within 7 days.
