Visco Liquid 200ml

Visco Liquid is used in managing the following health conditions:

• Providing relief from gastroesophageal reflux disease, commonly known as GERD

• Managing symptoms of heartburn caused by excess stomach acid

• Alleviating discomfort from acid indigestion

• Easing discomfort associated with a sour stomach

To ensure the correct administration of Visco Liquid, please follow these guidelines:

• Shake the bottle well before use to ensure the even distribution of ingredients.

• Consult your doctor for advice about how often and when to take this medicine.

Visco Liquid is taken orally.

Visco Liquid contains a combination of four active ingredients that work together through different mechanisms:

• Sodium Alginate (100 mg): This natural polysaccharide forms a gel-like barrier or 'raft' on top of the stomach contents when it comes into contact with stomach acid, preventing reflux into the oesophagus.

• Magnesium Hydroxide (250 mg): Also known as milk of magnesia, it acts as an antacid by neutralising excess stomach acid to alleviate discomfort.

• Aluminium Hydroxide (125 mg): An antacid that reduces stomach acid by increasing the pH of stomach contents, thus reducing irritation of the oesophagus and stomach lining.

• Simethicone (50 mg): This ingredient is an anti-foaming agent that breaks up gas bubbles trapped in the stomach, facilitating easier passage of gas and reducing bloating.

• Store Visco Liquid at room temperature, not exceeding 30°C.

• Keep it away from direct light.

• Ensure the bottle is tightly closed to avoid exposure to air.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Maintain a balanced diet low in spicy or fatty foods. These can trigger heartburn and acid indigestion which Visco Liquid manages.

• Regular mild exercise, such as walking, can help reduce symptoms related to excess stomach acid. Remember to wait at least an hour after eating before you start.
