Alkamax-MB6 Syrup is used for the following health conditions:

• Managing and preventing kidney stones, particularly those made of calcium oxalate, calcium phosphate, or uric acid.

• Controlling renal tubular acidosis, a condition that causes acidic urine.

• Helping with hypocitraturia, which involves low urinary citrate levels.

• Dealing with hyperoxaluria, a condition where there is an excess of oxalate in the urine.

Take Alkamax-MB6 Syrup as follows:

• Always shake the bottle well before use.

• Measure the exact quantity of syrup as recommended by your doctor using a spoon or cup.

• It's important to maintain adequate fluid intake while taking this medication to help prevent stone formation.

Alkamax-MB6 Syrup is taken orally.

Alkamax-MB6 Syrup contains three active ingredients that work together to manage kidney stones:

• Potassium Citrate (1100 mg): As an alkalinising agent, potassium citrate raises the pH and citrate levels in urine creating an environment that inhibits the formation and growth of uric acid and cystine stones. The raised citrate levels also help in prevention of stones containing calcium.

• Magnesium Citrate (375 mg): This component increases the levels of urinary citrate in your body. Higher citrate levels prevent the crystallisation of salts like calcium oxalate and calcium phosphate that can form kidney stones.

• Vitamin B6 / Pyridoxine (20 mg): Pyridoxine acts as an assistant in various enzyme reactions in your body. It helps reduce the amount of oxalate - a component of calcium oxalate stones - excreted in your urine. A deficiency of this vitamin is associated with an increased risk of kidney stones.

• Store Alkamax-MB6 Syrup at a room temperature of 20°C to 25°C.

• Keep it in a tightly closed container, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Stay well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water daily. This can help dissolve kidney stones and prevent new ones from forming.
