CHERi-XT Tablet is used for the following:

• Preventing and managing iron deficiency anaemia

• Addressing folate deficiency

• Assisting women of reproductive age, especially those planning pregnancy

• Supporting healthy foetal growth and development during pregnancy

• Helping individuals with poor dietary intake of iron and folate

• Aiding patients with malabsorption disorders or chronic blood loss

• Assisting those recovering from surgery or illness

Here is how you should take CHERi-XT Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Preferably take the tablet on an empty stomach for better absorption. If you experience gastrointestinal discomfort, take it with food.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose unless advised by your doctor.

CHERi-XT Tablet is taken orally.

CHERi-XT Tablet features two active ingredients:

• Ferrous Ascorbate (100 mg): This is a highly bioavailable form of iron that gets readily absorbed in your gastrointestinal tract. Iron is an essential component of haemoglobin, which is a protein in your red blood cells responsible for carrying oxygen from your lungs to various parts of your body. Iron also aids in the proper functioning of several enzymes involved in energy metabolism and immune function.

• Folic Acid (1.5 mg): As a synthetic form of folate, this water-soluble B vitamin plays a crucial role in DNA synthesis, cell division, and the production of red blood cells. Importantly, folic acid is essential during early pregnancy for the proper development of the neural tube in foetuses, reducing the risk of neural tube defects such as spina bifida and anencephaly.

• Keep CHERi-XT Tablet in a cool and dry place, ideally at a temperature below 25°C.

• Prevent the medicine from being exposed to direct sunlight or excessive moisture.

• Always ensure the tablet is out of reach of children.

• Remember to use CHERi-XT Tablet before its given expiry date.

• Incorporate iron-rich foods into your diet such as lentils, beans, leafy green vegetables, and lean meat. This supports the CHERi-XT Tablet in managing iron deficiency anaemia.

• Include folic acid-rich foods like oranges, asparagus, and fortified cereals in your meals. These can enhance the efficacy of the tablet in addressing folate deficiency.
