DePURA Kids Nano Drops contain vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) (400 IU), which influences your child's body in the following ways:

• Absorption and Conversion: Once given orally, vitamin D3 is absorbed in the small intestine and then transported to the liver. Here it is converted into 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D), which is the main form of vitamin D circulating in the body.

• Activation: This converted form of vitamin D3 undergoes another conversion in the kidneys to become 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D (1,25(OH)2D), also known as active calcitriol.

• Calcium and Phosphorus Absorption: Calcitriol binds with receptors in various tissues including intestines, bones, and kidneys. In the intestines, it enhances the absorption of calcium and phosphorus from food.
