• Set the lancing device according to the manual.
• Fully insert the test strip into the metre with the contact bars end first. The metre turns on automatically and finally displays the blood drop symbol.
• Select the puncture site either in the finger or in order parts (AST). Hold the lancing device firmly against the puncture site. Press the release button.
• Gently squeeze the punctured area to get enough of a drop of blood. Do not squeeze the puncture side excessively.
• Apply the blood drop to the absorbent hole of the test strip until the blood has filled the confirmation window. It requires at least 0.7 ul of blood for a glucose test.
• The metre counts down and then displays a result. The reading is automatically stored in the metre memory.
• Shut the metre off by removing the strip. Discard the used strip.
