Hadensa Ointment is a prescription medication specifically formulated to address various rectal conditions, including haemorrhoids (piles), anal fissures, and anal fistulas.

These conditions occur due to straining during bowel movements, chronic constipation, or infection. It causes pain, itching, bleeding, and inflammation in the rectal region. This medication relieves pain in the affected rectal area, reduces inflammation, provides soothing comfort, and promotes healing.

The composition of Hadensa Ointment includes four active ingredients: Lanolin (100% w/w), Lidocaine (1% w/w), Menthol (1% w/w), and Thymol (0.5% w/w).

Hadensa Ointment is generally safe when a doctor prescribes it. However, patients sensitive to its ingredients should use it cautiously. Individuals with severe liver, kidney and heart diseases should not use it without a doctor's prescription.

Haemorrhoids (Piles): Haemorrhoids are enlarged blood vessels in the anus or lower rectum. They can be internal (inside the rectum) or external (under the skin around the anus). It can cause symptoms such as pain, itching, bleeding, and discomfort during bowel movements. Hadensa Ointment provides temporary relief from pain and discomfort associated with haemorrhoids.
Anal fissures: Anal fissures are small tears or cracks in the lining of the anus. They can occur due to passing hard or large stools, chronic constipation, diarrhoea, or trauma during childbirth. It often causes pain and discomfort during bowel movements, bleeding, and itching. Hadensa Cream aids in reducing inflammation in the anal fissure, thereby promoting healing and alleviating discomfort.
Anal fistulas: Anal fistulas are abnormal tunnels or passages between the anus or rectum and the skin nearby. They often result from an infection in an anal gland, causing an abscess that subsequently forms a tract. Anal fistulas can cause persistent pain, swelling, discharge of pus or blood, and recurrent infections. Hadensa Cream prevents infection and promotes healing in the anal fistula tract.

Directions for Use of Hadensa Ointment 40gm

Wash your hands before using Hadensa Ointment.
Clean and dry the affected area.
Screw the nozzle to the tube.
Insert the nozzle to apply the prescribed amount to the anal area.
Wash your hands thoroughly.

Hadensa Cream is intended for anal/rectal application. It should not be ingested orally or administered through any other route.

The side effects due to Hadensa Ointment are common. These include:

Burning sensation: You may experience a temporary burning sensation upon application, usually mild.
Irritation: The medication may also cause slight irritation at the application site, which may resolve on its own.

Managing the Side Effects:

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless, which resolve on discontinuing Hadensa Ointment. However, if you experience any serious side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

It's advisable to avoid sitting on the toilet for extended periods and do not force bowel movements.
Keep the anal area clean by gently washing it with warm water after bowel movements.
Avoid harsh soaps or fragrant wipes, as they irritate the area.
Engage in regular physical activity to regulate bowel movements and prevent constipation. Choose exercises that promote overall body movement, such as walking, swimming, or yoga.
Alcohol, caffeine, spicy and acidic foods can irritate the digestive system and worsen symptoms. Limit or avoid these items in your diet.
Taking warm sitz baths for 10-15 minutes multiple times a day can provide soothing relief and promote healing.

Do not use other numbing creams simultaneously with Hadensa Ointment.
Do not use any other laxatives simultaneously with this ointment without informing your doctor.
Do not exceed the duration of treatment without a doctor's prescription.
Inform your doctor if the burning sensation or irritation persists.
