Medigrip Chlorhexidine 10cm X 10cm Dressing Gauze 10 is used for protecting various open wounds, particularly skin burns, scalds, leg ulcers, skin graft sites and in plastic and cosmetic surgery. It is a proprietary Tulle Gras dressing impregnated with soft paraffin B.P., containing Chlorhexidine Acetate. This dressing is applied before any secondary dressing, with the antimicrobial agent assisting in the healing process. A single layer of Medigrip Chlorhexidine Gauze Dressing is applied and covered with an absorbent pad, held in place with tape or a bandage. The dressing is soothing and non-adherent and allows the wound to drain freely into an absorbent secondary dressing.
