Shelcal-HD 12 Tablet is used for the following:

• Dealing with nutritional deficiencies of calcium, vitamin D, and vitamin B12.

• Managing conditions caused by low calcium levels such as osteoporosis.

• Aiding in the management of osteomalacia/rickets, a condition due to vitamin D deficiency.

• Assisting in the management of hypoparathyroidism, a condition where the body produces less parathyroid hormone.

• Addressing latent tetany, a condition characterised by muscle cramps due to low blood calcium.

• Serving as a dietary supplement during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

• Assisting in recovery post-surgery when nutritional needs are increased.

• Supplementing diet in conditions that cause malabsorption of nutrients.

Shelcal-HD 12 Tablet has three active ingredients that work together:

• Elemental Calcium (500 mg): This ingredient supplements the body's calcium levels which are essential for building and maintaining strong bones and teeth, muscle function, nerve transmission and hormone secretion.

• Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) (500 IU): Cholecalciferol helps your body absorb calcium more effectively. Additionally, it assists in maintaining appropriate levels of calcium and phosphate to ensure bones are mineralised properly.
