Volitra Plus Gel 30gm

The uses of the Volitra Plus Gel are:

• Management of musculoskeletal pain
• Management of joint pain of arthritis

• Apply a small amount of Volitra Plus Gel to the affected area.
• Gently massage until it is fully absorbed.
• Do not rub.
• Place the cap tightly after use.
• Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the gel.
• Avoid getting the gel in your eyes, mouth, or nose.
• Do not apply the gel to open wounds or damaged skin or with a heating pad.

Volitra Plus Gel is applied externally to the affected area. It is meant for external use only and should not be taken orally.

The medicinal activity of the active ingredients in Volitra Plus Gel is as follows:

• Diclofenac (1.16%): It belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) with potent anti-inflammatory, analgesic (pain-relieving), and antipyretic (fever-reducing) properties. When applied topically, it inhibits the production of prostaglandins, chemicals responsible for promoting inflammation, pain, and swelling. By reducing the levels of prostaglandins, diclofenac helps alleviate local inflammation and pain, making it beneficial for conditions such as muscle and joint injuries.
• Linseed Oil (Flaxseed Oil) (3%): It contains omega-3 fatty acids, specifically alpha-linolenic acid, which have anti-inflammatory properties. When applied topically, it helps reduce inflammation in the affected area and relieve pain and swelling.
• Menthol (5%): It is a natural compound known for its cooling sensation when applied to the skin. It acts as a counterirritant, creating a temporary cooling effect that distracts from pain sensations. 
• Methyl Salicylate (10%): It belongs to one of the group of NSAIDs that inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins, leading to decreased swelling and infiltration of inflamed tissues. 
• Capsaicin (0.025%): It is found in chilli peppers. It works by affecting nerve cells in the skin associated with pain, which results in decreased activity of these nerve cells and a reduced sense of pain.

• Store this medicine at a temperature not exceeding 30 ºC.
• Do not freeze.
• Keep Volitra Plus Gel away from children.

• Apply a warm compress or bath to relax muscles and alleviate pain. For acute injuries, use cold packs to reduce inflammation and swelling.
• Perform gentle stretches to improve flexibility and prevent muscle stiffness. Avoid overstretching, especially if you have an injury.
• Elevate the affected limb to reduce swelling and inflammation.
• Consider using compression bandages or sleeves to support the injured area and minimise swelling for strains and sprains.
• Choose comfortable, supportive shoes to minimise the impact on joints and muscles.
• Maintaining a healthy weight alleviates joint stress, which is particularly important for conditions like arthritis.
