What is a Sore eye?

Sore eyes are accompanied by a variety of ocular symptoms, they can range from moderate to severe and from kids to adults.

The human eye is very sensitive, even a small change in the stimulus can result in the disturbance of the homeostatic environment that our eye maintains and can result in sore eyes.

Itching in the eyes or any unpleasant sensation that causes uneasiness to the person can be termed sore eyes. They can result even due to the presence of dust in the eye or even can be accompanied by Glaucoma (an eye disease in which excess of vitreous humour gets deposited in the eye). Slices of potato are also a great boon and work well as eye pain home remedy to relieve the pain of sore eyes, but before using the potato one has to make sure that the potato has been washed completely and total starch content is removed since they are a rich source of starch so make sure it is cleared thoroughly as starch coming in direct contact with eyes creates severe complications and can worsen these eyes.

5. Crying helps to reduce the symptoms of sore eyes to a great extent. Crying not only clears the debris in the eye but also lubricates the eye and helps to reduce retro-orbital pain.
