Contraindications

• This medicine is contraindicated in patients who have a known allergy to any of the ingredients Ammonium Chloride, Bromhexine or Dextromethorphan.

Other Medications to Avoid

• Ammonium Chloride + Bromhexine + Dextromethorphan may interact with Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (such as selegiline and phenelzine) and serotonergic medications (such as fluoxetine and duloxetine).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• Overdose of this combination may lead to nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, rapid heartbeat, confusion, seizures and coma. If you suspect an overdose, seek immediate medical attention.

• If you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• For dizziness or lightheadedness, get up slowly when rising from a seated or lying position.

• For nausea or vomiting, try taking this medication with or after a meal or snack.

• Drink plenty of fluids to replace any lost fluids due to diarrhoea.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• This medication may cause drowsiness or dizziness. It is advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how this medicine affects you.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• This combination should not be used during pregnancy unless clearly needed, and use during breastfeeding should be done only after consulting a doctor.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Caution is advised when using Ammonium Chloride + Bromhexine + Dextromethorphan in patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment, as dose adjustments may be necessary.
