Benzalkonium Chloride + Latanoprost + Timolol is a combination medication for eye conditions.
Benzalkonium Chloride is a quaternary ammonium compound. It acts as an antimicrobial preservative in the eye drop solution, inhibiting the growth and reproduction of harmful bacteria and thus preventing eye infections.
Latanoprost is a prostaglandin F2α analog, working by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor from the eye. It does this by acting on the prostaglandin F receptor to enhance uveoscleral drainage, allowing fluid to exit the eye more easily.
Timolol is a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor-blocking agent. It works by reducing the production of aqueous humor in the eye through its action on beta receptors in the ciliary body.
