How Betamethasone + Neomycin works

Neomycin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic, hampers the growth of bacteria. It binds to bacterial ribosomes, inhibiting protein synthesis and altering bacterial cell membranes which leads to leakage of cell contents. It also prevents bacteria from adhering to the skin surface.
