Bromfenac + Moxifloxacin is used for the management of bacterial eye infections and inflammation post cataract surgery in adults and belongs to the class of combination antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medications.
It is also used for reducing pain and inflammation after cataract surgery, and preventing and treating bacterial eye infections after eye surgeries.

How Bromfenac + Moxifloxacin works
Bromfenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicine (NSAID). It works by blocking the action of cyclooxygenase enzymes, which are involved in producing substances called prostaglandins that cause pain, swelling, and inflammation in the eye. By inhibiting this process, Bromfenac reduces these inflammatory symptoms.
Moxifloxacin is a fourth-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It acts by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes. These enzymes are crucial for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. By disrupting these processes, Moxifloxacin halts bacterial growth and reproduction, thereby eliminating the bacteria causing the eye infection. Thus, this combination medicine manages post-operative eye issues by providing both antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects.

Overdose and Missed Dose
In case you happen to put a few extra drops of this medicine in your eye, do not panic. Rinse your eyes with clean water at room temperature. If any symptoms persist or worsen, inform your doctor.
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your usual dosing schedule.
Management of Side Effects
