• Bromfenac + Moxifloxacin can be used through the ocular route (sterile ophthalmic solution).

Age and Dose Restrictions

• Bromfenac + Moxifloxacin is meant for adults who are 18 years and older.

Contraindications

• Bromfenac + Moxifloxacin is contraindicated for patients with known allergy to bromfenac, moxifloxacin or any other component of this medication. It is also contraindicated for those with prior adverse reactions to other quinolones.

Other Medications to Avoid

• Bromfenac + Moxifloxacin may interact with antacids, sucralfate, metal cations, multivitamins (such as those containing magnesium, aluminium, iron, and zinc), Class IA and III antiarrhythmics (like amiodarone), and medicines metabolised by CYP3A4 or CYP2C19 enzymes (such as diazepam and omeprazole).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• If you accidentally use more drops than prescribed, rinse your eyes with clean, room-temperature water. If irritation or other symptoms persist or worsen, consult your doctor.

• If you miss a dose of Bromfenac + Moxifloxacin, use it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule.

Management of Side Effects

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

• Try to take the medication at the same time each day to reduce the likelihood of forgetting a dose.

• Drinking plenty of water can help manage certain side effects like dry eye and irritation.

Use in Driving and Operating Machinery

• Bromfenac + Moxifloxacin may cause blurred vision or other visual disturbances. If you experience these side effects, avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until your vision clears.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

• Bromfenac + Moxifloxacin falls under Pregnancy Category C, meaning it should only be used during pregnancy if clearly needed. Breastfeeding mothers should exercise caution and consult their doctor before using this medicine.

Caution in Other Conditions

• Patients with known QT prolongation, hypokalaemia, or those receiving Class IA or III antiarrhythmics should use Bromfenac + Moxifloxacin with caution due to the potential for QT interval prolongation with oral moxifloxacin.

Special Dietary and Lifestyle Recommendations

• Maintain good eye hygiene to minimise the risk of infection.

• Avoid touching the tip of the dropper bottle to prevent contamination.
