Uses of Bromhexine

  • Bromhexine is primarily used for managing respiratory tract disorders characterised by excessive or thick mucus. It belongs to the class of mucolytic medicines.

  • It is also useful for managing conditions like chronic and acute bronchitis, pneumonia, bronchiectasis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), cystic fibrosis, and asthma that involve mucus production.
