• Budesonide + Formoterol Fumarate is available for use in the form of dry powder inhaler (DPI), metered dose inhaler (MDI), and soft mist inhaler.

Age and Dose Restrictions

• This combination medication is suitable for adults and children aged 6 years and older.

Contraindications

• Budesonide + Formoterol Fumarate is contraindicated in patients who have a known hypersensitivity to either of its active components, Budesonide and Formoterol Fumarate.
• It should also be avoided by patients with hyperresponsive airways.

Other Medications to Avoid With This Medicine

• Budesonide + Formoterol Fumarate may interact with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (such as ketoconazole and ritonavir), beta-blockers (like atenolol and bisoprolol), and diuretics (like furosemide and torsemide). It may also interact with MAOIs (like isocarboxazid and selegiline), and tricyclic antidepressants (like amitriptyline and doxepin).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• In case of an overdose with Budesonide + Formoterol Fumarate, symptoms might include chest pain, fast heart rate, tremors, and nervousness. If these occur, seek immediate medical help.
• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is nearly time for the next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.

• Patients with cardiovascular disorders, convulsive disorders, thyrotoxicosis, diabetes, ketoacidosis, and hypokalaemia should use this medicine with caution.
• It may worsen existing tuberculosis and fungal, bacterial, viral, or parasitic infections.
