Budamate 400 Transcap is used for the long-term management of asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). It combines Budesonide, a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation in the airways, and Formoterol, a long-acting bronchodilator that relaxes airway muscles, making it easier to breathe and preventing breathing difficulties.

• Remove the cap from the lupihaler.
• Insert the Budamate 400 transcap into the Lupihaler as described in the package insert or by your pharmacist. 
• Put the mouthpiece in your mouth and take a deep breath.
• Breathe in fully to make sure the medicine reaches your lungs.
• Hold your breath for 10 seconds.
• Breathe out and, if needed, repeat the steps.

Budamate 400 Transcap are inhaled orally.

• Formoterol, the active ingredient in Budamate 400, is a bronchodilator. It helps open up the airways in the lungs. Formoterol works by stimulating specific proteins in the muscles of the airways, which helps relax them and allows more air to flow through. It makes breathing easier and helps reduce the symptoms of asthma and COPD, providing relief and preventing breathing difficulties.
• Budesonide, another active ingredient in Budamate 400, is an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) with potent anti-inflammatory effects. It reduces inflammation in the airways and prevents the release of substances that cause inflammation. It helps to prevent and control airway inflammation. This corticosteroid also reduces the frequency and severity of asthma and COPD symptoms. It also helps in preventing flare-ups and improving breathing.
• It is important to note that this medication should be used as your doctor prescribes. It should not be used to immediately relieve acute symptoms or as a rescue medication during asthma or COPD attack. In such situations, a short-acting bronchodilator inhaler should be used as your doctor recommends.

• Identify and avoid triggers that worsen your symptoms, such as allergens (pollen, pet dander) and irritants (tobacco smoke, air pollution, strong odours).
• When exposed to pollutants or irritants, use appropriate protective measures, such as masks or air filters.
• Understand the correct technique for using inhalers and other devices to maximise effectiveness.
