• This medicine is indicated for adult patients and also for paediatric patients aged 2 months and above.

Contraindications

• Cefepime + Tazobactam is contraindicated in patients with known severe hypersensitivity to Cefepime, Tazobactam, other cephalosporins, penicillins, or β-lactamase inhibitors.

Other Medications to Avoid

• This combination may interact with diuretics (eg., furosemide and thiazides), live bacterial vaccines (eg., BCG, typhoid), anticoagulants (eg., warfarin), and neuromuscular blockers (eg., pancuronium).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• Chances for overdose are less as it is administered to you by a healthcare professional. However, an overdose of this medication may cause severe nausea, vomiting, or diarrhoea. If you observe any such symptoms, inform your doctor immediately.

• If you forget to administer a dose, consult your healthcare provider for the next dose.
