Age and Dose Restrictions

• This combination medicine is intended for adults and children above the age of 12 years.

Contraindications

• This medicine is contraindicated in individuals who are allergic to either Cefixime or Dicloxacillin. It is also contraindicated in patients who have a history of liver or kidney disease.

Other Medications to Avoid

• Cefixime + Dicloxacillin can interact with anticoagulant medicines (e.g., warfarin, heparin), gout treatment medicines (e.g., benzbromarone, probenecid) and live bacterial vaccines (e.g., typhoid and cholera vaccines).

Overdose and Missed Dose

• Overdose of this medicine can cause symptoms such as severe nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, or seizures. In such cases, immediate medical attention should be sought.
• If a dose is missed, it should be taken as soon as remembered. However, if it is close to the time for the next dose, then the missed dose should be skipped.

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless and resolve when discontinuing this medicine. However, if you experience any severe side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.
